Missions Ministry
This ministry focuses on opportunities and relationships to fulfill the Great Commission to the unreached world. Our biggest impact comes from partnering with organizations and specific missionaries that have unique knowledge and experience in their areas of ministry. Jesus told His disciples to go to “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth,” We seek to intentionally target people in these four areas.
Key Initiatives:
- Integrating the missions mandate into our teaching and preaching
- Balancing the allocation of financial support between local and global partnerships, with the local allocation to rarely exceed 25% of the budget
- Organizing short-term mission trips both locally and globally.
- Equipping our church for God’s work around the world
- Instilling a vision to reach out to those abroad, as well as those in our community
- Identifying and growing up long-term missionaries from within our church
- We seek to cross two or more cultural barriers as we serve. Barriers to cross include geo-political, ethnic, linguistic, worldview, and socioeconomic.
Current Focus:
- Israel Initiative
- NLC Pastoral Training Center in Kenya
- Kyrgystan

Mission Liaison
Each Mission Partner will have a Mission Ministry Team Member assigned to them known as their Mission Liaison. The Mission Liaison is the specific link between the Mission Partner in the field and the Mission Ministry Team of NLC. They are the ones who get specific information on prayer needs, physical needs, current projects, future projects, and any other pertinent information to the committee. The Liaison’s goal is to form a bond with that Mission Partner and be the face and voice of NLC to the partner.
