Outreach Ministry
New Life’s Outreach Ministry is reaching deep into our community to minister the love and good news of Jesus! Our teams are actively serving and we hope you will find ways to get connected with us!
Street and Neighborhood Evangelism Team
These teams disperse to various public locations and neighborhoods in our area to seek and save the lost by offering prayer, sharing the gospel, and walking in signs and wonders. We all are called to be ambassadors of the kingdom, to let our light shine in the darkness and make disciples thus fulfilling the Great Commission. We unashamedly share the “Good News” and offer hope and healing to a lost and dying world. We currently go out every Thursday night.

Men’s Prison Team
The mission of this ministry team is to teach and equip the men who attend the Wednesday night bible study in the Okaloosa Correctional Institute how to men of God. Our hope is they will not only be witnesses while incarcerated but when they are released. We have a special opportunity to impart God’s eternal truth and love to those that many have given up on. To be on this team you must submit an application, be fingerprinted, and allow a background check before entering the facility in Crestview. The volunteers are on a rotation and only serve one time per month on Wednesday nights.
Senior Living Facility Team
Our mission is to provide a monthly church service for the residents of the Watercrest Senior Living facility on the 4th Saturday of the month. Our goal is to show the love of Jesus to those sometimes-forgotten people through anointed worship, teaching, and prayer. We not only minister hope and healing but share the saving knowledge of the gospel to the residents and the staff.
ARK (At Risk Kids) Team
One of the goals of this outreach team is to address the urgent needs of children and families in crisis. A report of child welfare abuse is filed every 10 seconds and far too many kids are being separated from their families for preventable reasons. You can become a child /parent advocate and through the power of love and the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ help break the destructive cycles that often lead to homelessness, sex trafficking, and prison.
Homeless Prevention Team
Our team is dedicated to transforming lives by preventing homelessness in our community. Through an application-based approach, we identify and support individuals and families at risk, addressing their unique challenges with compassion and practical solutions. By meeting immediate needs and fostering lasting change, we open the door to hope and renewal, guiding those we serve toward the abundant life found in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Women’s Jail Team
Our mission for this team is to provide bi-monthly Saturday afternoon church services at the Walton County Women’s Jail. We believe it is the anointing that will break the yoke and set these women free. To serve in this ministry you must submit an application, get fingerprinted and allow a background check before entering the facility in Defuniak Springs.
Path of Grace Team
This team collaborates with Path of Grace, a local faith-based program helping women be free from addiction. We believe with the right support these women can live clean and sober, fulfilling the call of God on their life and be reunited with their families. Our team provides these women unconditional love, spiritually enriched encouragement, and practical support through various acts of kindness and mentorship.
Juvenile Detention Team
Our mission is to reach the heart of the boys who are spending time in the Walton County Juvenile Detention known as the Walton County Academy for Growth and Change, a residential treatment program for boys ages 13-18 located in DeFuniak Springs. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can not only save their souls but help these boys know who they can be in Christ. We hope to prevent them from a life of crime and ending up in prison. This teams meets every other Saturday afternoon and is a men-only ministry team.

Raven Food Truck Team
This team prepares and delivers a free meal as a way of extending an act of kindness to those we hope to minister. We collaborate with other NLC ministry teams to not only enhance their events but also draw more people to our outreach efforts. There is a short certification requirement to prepare food. We also need drivers, servers and those interested in praying for others.
Prayer Tent Team
This team’s objective is to set up our prayer tent at various locations around our community. Many people will not enter the doors of a church, so we must go to them. You can be a vessel the Holy Spirit can flow through to facilitate the move of His power and demonstrate God’s love and mercy. If you love to pray for people, this is the team for you!
Celebrate Recovery
This comprehensive 12-step program, based on biblical principles, is designed to assist new believers in cultivating a relationship with Jesus by restoring His image within them and renewing their minds. The program focuses on identifying and addressing the emotional and behavioral challenges that may have obscured this image. Additionally, this group acts as a conduit to the church and provides an excellent opportunity for volunteers to utilize their own experiences of recovery to support others. Parenting Classes
The Active Parenting curriculum is a six-week program designed to equip parents with tools to improve their parenting skills. This program satisfies court requirements for individuals seeking reunification with their children, aiming to address family dysfunction through education and biblical principles. Held once per quarter.
