Our Young Families Ministry is a vibrant community designed to connect families with young children—growing together in faith, building lasting relationships, and serving others in the name of Christ. Whether you’re new to the area, new to the church, or simply looking for a community where your family can thrive, we are here to help you find your place.
Our vision is to build a thriving community of young families that grows in faith, fosters meaningful relationships, and serves together to make an impact for Christ.
What We Offer
Fellowship: Monthly gatherings that create space for families to have fun, fellowship, and make meaningful connections. Past events include nature walks, beach bonfires, and visits to the zoo.
Discipleship Opportunities: Small group gatherings like our House Fires and Connections groups, where families can dive into God’s Word together and build authentic community. Our House Fires and Connections groups meet in homes on a monthly basis, offering families a space to build deeper relationships while studying God’s Word. These groups are an excellent way for families to find community and grow spiritually together.
Family Service Projects: Providing opportunities for families to serve together both within the church setting itself and outside in the community. Partnering with our church’s outreach ministry to offer opportunities for families to serve together and make a difference in our community.
Prayer & Intercession: Creating a culture where families are encouraged to pray for one another and stand in the gap for their community.

Administrative Assistant
The Young Families Administrative Assistant at New Life Church works directly with the Ministry Leaders and all volunteers to provide administrative support.
Role Description: A person with knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Google Docs is preferred. Willingness to be trained on the church’s software to manage groups and workflows is essential. This individual should have strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a heart for serving families. Responsibilities include managing attendance tracking, organizing communications, and assisting with event planning logistics. This person will need to use their own computer and will work closely with the ministry leaders to ensure smooth operations.
Intercessor Lead
The Young Families Intercessor Lead operates as a prayer covering for the Young Families ministry and encourages “Families praying for Families.”
Role Description: This person will facilitate consistent prayer for the ministry and the families it serves. They will coordinate with the NLC Prayer and Intercession Team to organize prayer meetings, develop prayer lists, and encourage families to engage in intercessory prayer. The Intercessor Lead will work directly with ministry leaders to ensure that the spiritual covering of the ministry remains a top priority.
Event Coordinator
The Event Coordinator works with the Young Families leadership team to plan and organize family-friendly gatherings.
Role Description: This individual will assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of monthly Young Families events. Responsibilities include brainstorming creative ideas, managing event logistics, securing locations, and organizing volunteer teams. This role plays a critical part in fostering community and connection among families.
Outreach & Evangelism Coordinator
The Outreach & Evangelism Coordinator helps organize opportunities for Young Families to serve the local community.
Role Description: This person will work closely with the NLC Outreach & Evangelism Team to plan and promote family-friendly outreach events. They will create opportunities for families to serve together and help the next generation develop a heart for their community.
Social Media & Communications Coordinator
The Social Media & Communications Coordinator helps promote the Young Families ministry and its events.
Role Description: This person will create and schedule engaging content across social media platforms to keep families informed and inspired. Responsibilities include capturing event photos, writing posts, and collaborating with the church communications team. They may also assist with email newsletters and text communication as needed.
Who Can Serve?
The Young Families Ministry is open to members and non-members alike. However, there are certain events that we hold throughout the year that are open for members only. So what are you waiting for?!
